Community Involvement

The Georgia World Congress Center is proud to be involved in the local community.

The Georgia World Congress Center:

  • Partners with a local elementary school every year and provides a location for their holiday pageant, mentors students on a weekly basis, facilitates an art project and donates school supplies.
  • Works with shows in the building to donate left over food, supplies and furniture to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Every year, over 30,000 lbs. of food are donated from the GWCC and Levy Restaurants, the center’s catering partner. Through a can drive every holiday season, the staff of the GWCC make donations to the food bank.
  • Staff collect tabs from soda cans and donates them to the Ronald McDonald House, which is able to raise money for operations by recycling the tabs.
  • Staff make personal donations to the State’s Charitable Contributions Program and through an internal campaign raise additional funds. The GWCCA has won the Charitable Contribution Commissioner’s Award the past 5 years.
