Busy convention attendees have an easy way to
escape the hustle and bustle of the trade show
floor. Terraces Restaurant, located in the International
Blvd. entrance lobby is a full-service fine dining
restaurant with an eclectic menu themed: Global
Flair, Southern Taste . With popular menu
items including Savannah She-Crab Soup and Vidalia
Onion & Sausage Strudel, Terraces is a meal
you don't want to miss during your visit to the
Georgia World Congress Center.
Terraces
uses fresh, local ingredients and creates food
with lots of style. The menu features a wide selections
of starters, salads, pastas and special entrees
like Creole Rigatoni and Low-Country Shrimp and
Grits. Terraces also has a sandwich and dessert
selection that is sure to cure all cravings.
Not only is the food at Terraces a delight, the restaurant features a unique architecture style that is second to none. Terraces was the creation of noted restaurant architect Bill Johnson. The design incorporates nautical themes in a modern day setting. The restaurant boasts of eclectic lighting and furniture that invites conventioneers to a relaxing atmosphere off of the trade show floor. The restaurant features a striking European-inspired design that gives both convention and other visitors a calming atmosphere in which to dine.
Terraces features three private dining rooms for special meetings and other VIP functions. These rooms can be reserved for impromptu meetings or catered dinners. A cocktail lounge overlooking the Building B concourse also serves refreshing drinks and appetizers in a modern, relaxing setting. It too makes a great place to hold an after-show reception or casual get-together.
Terraces originally opened in 1984 and was re-modeled in 1998. The restaurant was one of the first to offer a full-service, fine-dining concept within a convention center.
Terraces offers a la Carte dining Monday through Friday, and during busy show days will add lavish buffet concepts featuring anti-pastas and salads, hot entrees, specialty stations and desserts. Terraces also features three private dining rooms for board meetings and other VIP functions. A cocktail lounge overlooking the Building B concourse also serves refreshing drinks and appetizers in a modern, relaxing setting.
The
restaurant is open on all major event days as
well as for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30
a.m. - 2 p.m. Terraces is also available for private
