In addition to hosting international conventions, the Georgia World Congress Center also hosts corporate events. The Atlanta convention center is more than just convention-sized exhibit halls. The 3.9 million square feet facility features an astounding 106 meeting rooms in variable sizes, two grand ballrooms - perfect for elegant banquets or speaker symposiums - and three landscaped plazas appropriate for outdoor receptions.
InterContinental Hotels Group is the world’s most global hotel company with the largest by number of rooms in over 100 countries. Thousands of representatives from these hotels attended their convention at the Georgia World Congress Center in 2003. To take advantage of Atlanta’s comfortable fall climate, InterContinental Hotels hosted an outdoor closing reception on the GWCC’s lavish six-acre Georgia International Plaza. The plaza features elaborate landscaping, an articulate sculpture commemorating the 1996 Olympics and sixteen 65-foot tall light towers. On the final day of the InterContinental Hotels Group convention, attendees walked out the Congress Center doors to the plaza for a blow out reception with live music, dancing and great food. The event was a huge success for show management, and attendees got an evening of fun plus an extra opportunity to network.

In the Summer Success School of 2003, AdvoCare held sessions in the Georgia World Congress Center and utilized unique sets with special lighting. The result was awe-inspiring gasps from the audience. At the end of their sessions, AdvoCare rented Centennial Olympic Park and held a carnival complete with games, prizes and a fireworks display against the beautiful downtown skyline.
