At the Georgia World Congress Center, we offer a full array of services and amenities in the main entrances and concourses of the facility to ensure your attendees a satisfying visit. From ATMs to Starbucks, the GWCC accommodates your attendees with warm Southern hospitality and welcoming amenities. Here is a list to familiarize you with each one:
Information Desks
From the minute attendees enter the Georgia World Congress Center doors, our Information Desk attendant is ready and able to assist with any questions or concerns. The GWCC has fully staffed Information Desks in the entrance lobbies of Buildings A, B and C. The Information Desks also maintain an inventory of brochures and maps, serve as the GWCC lost and found and distribute wheelchairs for individuals in need of one.
Monitors
Television monitors strategically placed throughout the Georgia World Congress Center serve as the Congress Center's wayfinding system. Each slide can be personalized with your logo so attendees recognize it and find their way to your event. The monitors also direct visitors to other amenities located on site.
Tourism Desk/Concierge
From Columbus to Savannah, from Thomasville to Toccoa, Georgia is home to some of the most beautiful southern cities in the country. And as the Capital of the South, Atlanta offers the attractions of a big city with the warmth of southern hospitality. Tourism information is available at two Tourism Desks, located in the Building B and C entrance lobbies. The Tourism Desks hold brochures for attractions all over the state of Georgia. The desks are fully staffed by knowledgeable attendants willing and able to ensure guests visiting Atlanta have an enjoyable stay. They also serve as a connection to hundreds of restaurants in metropolitan Atlanta by offering complimentary restaurant reservation services.
Gift Shops
If you need a postcard, newspaper or Atlanta souvenir, the Georgia World Congress Center operates two unique gift shops in the Building B and Building C entrance lobbies. Our gift shops feature a host of products from foodstuffs to house wares, gifts, and unique southern confectionery delights. In addition, film, batteries, gum, periodicals, candy and tobacco products are also available. It is the perfect place for show attendees to find a memento from the convention.
ATMs
Automatic teller machines (ATMs) provided by Cardtronics, are located throughout the Georgia World Congress Center. Avail, Plus, Honor, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Cirrus and Alert cards are accepted.
FedEx Office Business Centers
For everyday office needs, the GWCC operates two full service FedEx Kinko's Business Centers in the Building B and C entrance lobbies. Each FedEx Kinko's offers your attendees a place to copy, fax, bind, scan and print. They will find a great selection of common office supplies at competitive prices including a variety of paper, envelopes, binder clips, pens and more. They also offer computer access, a notary and UPS, Federal Express and U.S. Mail delivery. Like all other FedEx Kinko's, these GWCC business centers show pride, enthusiasm and dedication in everything that they do and are committed to delivering high quality products and services.
Starbucks
Enjoy fresh, rich-brewed Italian style espresso beverages in a traditional Starbucks setting inside the Congress Center. In addition to multiple coffee stands that proudly serve Starbucks coffee throughout the facility, the GWCC has a permanent Starbucks located in the Building B entrance lobby.
A full line of Starbucks refreshments, pastries, confections and coffee-related accessories and equipment are available in the Congress Center's Starbucks. The location features comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.
Cyber Center
The Georgia World Congress Center knows the importance of keeping in touch with home and office while you are away. That's why the GWCC has a free Cyber Center located in the Building B entrance lobby. The GWCC Cyber Center is a place for show attendees to conduct research, communicate with co-workers and check e-mail via a high-speed T-1 Internet connection.
The Cyber Center features four workstations, as well as a private conference room for impromptu meetings among show attendees. Located next to the Cyber Center is a boutique coffee shop serving pastries and coffee beverages. It is a fabulous place to unwind and enjoy conversation with colleagues.
Wireless Hotspots
Laptop and PDA users will find no trouble accessing the Internet at the Georgia World Congress Center thanks to our wireless hotspots. Wireless hotspots are located throughout the common areas of the convention center, including all restaurants and eateries. There are two ways to access our wireless Internet. Guests can purchase a WiFi card from the CCLD Communications Office (located in the Building B entrance lobby) and follow the instructions on the card for entering the login and passcode. Or, if the computer has an Intel Centrino chip, they can set the computer SSID to FastPass, click on the FastPass icon and follow the instructions for paying with a credit card. In each case, the user must have a laptop or PDA that is 802.11 capable.
Dining Options
From cafes and food courts on the concourses to concession stands and specialty food carts on the trade show floor, the Georgia World Congress Center and its food services partner Levy, has a wide array of dining options for all guests.
Whether it's fine cuisine or a relaxing hot latte, show attendees will find something to hit the spot while at the Georgia World Congress Center. The GWCC operates more than 15 permanent restaurants and eateries, including the fine dining Terraces Restaurant, Starbucks and Food World, a food court offering tasty entrees from around the world.
Unlike most convention centers, the Georgia World Congress Center has a fine dining restaurant. Terraces, located in the Building B entrance lobby, features the imagination and creativity of noted restaurant architect Bill Johnson. The restaurant boasts of eclectic lighting and furniture that invites you to relax and enjoy a delectable meal. The menu features a la-carte and buffet dining, and the restaurant features a full cocktail lounge.
The Terraces menu is themed Global Flair, Southern Taste . It features a number of delicious appetizers including peppered calamari, grilled lemon pepper shrimp and Vidalia onion & sausage strudel. Entrée specialties on the menu range from grilled pork tenderloin topped with sun-dried tomatoes to fresh handmade ravioli filled with wild mushrooms and Gorgonzola cream sauce. Delightful desserts include chocolate crème pie and peach short cake tart.
Terraces only uses fresh, local ingredients. The menu features a wide selection of starters, salads, pastas and special entrees along with two old favorites from the original 1984 menu: Savannah She-Crab Soup and Vidalia Onion & Sausage Strudel.
Terraces is open on all major event days as well as for lunch Monday through Friday from noon to 2p.m. The hours can be catered to meet the needs of your event.
Campus Courtesy Shuttles
The Georgia World Congress Center offers a Courtesy Shuttle Service linking your attendees to and from our eight parking lots and the main entrances of the GWCC. The free ride makes it easy on guests arriving quickly and safely to your special event.
The courtesy shuttle system consists of two 15-seat shuttles, custom-wrapped with images of the Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park. Shuttles begin routes one hour before a show opens and make continuous stops in 15-minute increments until one hour after a show ends.
Handicap Access
Accessibility is a top priority at the Georgia World Congress Center. From parking to the trade show floor, the GWCC is fully accessible to all guests. There are ramps at all entrances, and restroom facilities for disabled patrons are provided throughout the facility.
The GWCC was originally designed to provide full access to guests with disabilities. We offer ample designated disabled parking, several passenger drop-off areas and convenient curb cuts for easy wheelchair access. Other services include Braille instructions on elevators, assistive-listening devices and TDD phones at the Information Desks in the main entrance lobbies.
BAGs Remote Baggage Service
For the convenience of your attendees, the Georgia World Congress Center offers baggage check through BAGs, a remote check-in baggage service. Attendees taking domestic flights out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport via AirTran, American and Delta airlines can check their luggage with BAGs and receive their boarding pass in the main lobby of the GWCC. Cost for the service is $10 per passenger. Normal airline baggage fees apply. Excess baggage rates are subject to change.
