Georgia World Congress Center Authority Hosts Variety of Winter Weekend Events
This weekend, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) will host a variety of annual events, making downtown Atlanta the place to be for fun family-oriented activity. From the 2004 Atlanta Boat Show and the CHEERSPORT National Cheerleading & Dance Competition to the return of the Super Sale and the 2 nd Annual Winter Ice Festival, the GWCCA is gearing up for a weekend full of excitement.

Georgia World Congress Center Authority Announces Four New Board Members
Gov. Sonny Perdue named four Atlanta business people as new members of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority: David B. Allman, Anne Griffith Hennessy, Martin Neil Kogon and James C. Edenfield. The new members met at the Georgia World Congress Center today for their first monthly Authority meeting. The Authority oversees the management of the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park.

CowParade Atlanta Auctions Cows for Charity at Georgia World Congress Center
After three months of cows on parade around Atlanta, the CowParade Atlanta charity event will conclude with an auction at the Georgia World Congress Center. More than 100 life-sized fiberglass cows will be for up for bid at the auction on Nov. 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Georgia Ballroom (Building C).

FIRST Robotics Selects Georgia World Congress Center Authority for '04, '05, '06 Championships

Ground Breaking Ceremonies Held for Georgia Aquarium and New World of Coca-Cola
The face of downtown Atlanta officially changed today as the Marcus Foundation and the Coca-Cola Company broke ground for the 5-million gallon Georgia Aquarium and the new World of Coca-Cola. Both attractions - in addition to the Children's Museum of Art that opened earlier this year - will give conventioneers and visitors alike a wider range of activities within walking distance of the Georgia World Congress Center.

Terraces Restaurant Re-opens with Global Flair, Southern Taste
Terraces Restaurant, located in the International Blvd. entrance concourse of the Georgia World Congress Center, re-opens this week with new look and feel.
