THE WORK TRUCK SHOW RETURNS TO ATLANTA IN 2006 and 2008

ATLANTA (Aug. 22, 2005) -- The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) announced this week it will return to Atlanta in 2006 and 2008. The Association produces The Work Truck Show® and Annual NTEA Convention -- bringing together manufacturers, distributors, fleet managers, leasing companies, dealers, buyers and users of commercial truck and transportation equipment from all industries in an environment designed to deliver the newest products, encourage peer interaction, enhance professional development, and maximize productivity and profitability.

The event, which rotates locations, was held in Atlanta in 2003. The Work Truck Show 2006 will be held Feb. 28 - March 3, 2006.

"With the array and quality of services and amenities offered by the facility, as well as its proximity to a booming downtown area, Atlanta and the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) are a great combination for Work Truck Show exhibitors and attendees to do business," said NTEA Convention Chairman and First Vice President Robert S. Green, president of Robert Green Truck Div. Inc. (Rock Hill, NY).

"This is a great show for Atlanta and for the Georgia World Congress Center," said Mark Zimmerman, the convention center’s general manager. "And, we believe Atlanta is a great location for the NTEA Convention and The Work Truck Show. We hope that Atlanta becomes a part of the regular rotation and that we can play a continued role in the success of the show."

With an estimated attendance of 8,500 for 2006, the NTEA is expected to bring in nearly $10 million to Atlanta’s economy in 2006. The economic impact for 2006 and 2008 combined exceeds $40 million and the estimated sales tax generated will exceed $3 million.

Established in 1964, the NTEA is the leading association supporting the $98.3 billion commercial truck and transportation equipment industry. The Association currently represents nearly 1,600 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and accessories. Buyers of work trucks and the major commercial truck chassis manufacturers also belong to the Association. The NTEA provides in-depth technical information, education and money-saving opportunities through its member programs, publications, services and sponsorship of The Work Truck Show® -- the only event dedicated exclusively to the Class 1 through 8 commercial truck and transportation equipment market. The Association maintains its administrative headquarters in suburban Detroit and a government relations office in Washington, DC. Its Web site, NTEA.com, provides an interactive listing of members and their products/services as well as important industry news and resources.
