NCAA Unveils New Final Four Logo in Atlanta

The NCAA and Atlanta Local Organizing Committee unveiled the official logo for the 2007 NCAA Final Four on September 14 at the Hyatt Regency downtown Atlanta.

The 2007 Final Four will take place at the Georgia Dome March 30 - April 2, 2007. This is the second NCAA Men's Final Four that the Georgia Dome has hosted. The event was here in 2002 and the Women's NCAA Final Four Tournament took to the Dome's court the following year.
This March, Georgia Tech will host the NCAA 2006 Regional championship at the Georgia Dome. This event will determine which team advances to the 2006 NCAA Men's Final Four in Indianapolis.

The NCAA was represented at the unveiling by Craig Littlepage, the director of athletics at the University of Virginia and the chairman of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee in 2005-06 as well as Tom Jernstedt, NCAA executive vice-president. Representing the Atlanta local organizing committee were Khalil Johnson, chief operating officer of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, Dr. G. Wayne Clough, Georgia Tech president and William Pate, chairman of the Atlanta Sports Council as well as a large group from the Atlanta Downtown community.

Atlanta is a great destination for events such as the NCAA because of the excellent facilities, the convenient layout of the GWCCA campus and the close proximity to the downtown hotel district. We welcome the NCAA!
