BIG SOUTH QUALIFIER RETURNS TO ATLANTA

Ready for some volleyball? The Georgia World Congress Center is very happy to welcome back The Big South National Qualifier & Expo. The event, which takes place at the end of the month, is the largest amateur youth volleyball event in North America, held in one location on a single weekend.

After outgrowing facilities in Central Florida, the event moved to Atlanta in 2004 and changed names from the Tampa Bay National Qualifier to the Big South National Qualifier. Last year, 7,500 female volleyball players joined in on the competition at the Georgia World Congress Center. The players ranged in age from 10 to 18. All the excitement drew crowds of over 26,000 attendees per day.

The transformation from tradeshow floor to volleyball court is truly amazing and will take more than 800,000 court tiles to create approximately 115 volleyball courts. With 834 teams competing, there will be 9,000 volleyball players and 8,000 volleyballs used over the course of the event!

The 2006 Big South National Qualifier is open to the public so come on out and enjoy some volleyball fun! March 31-April 2 in Buildings B & C. For more information visit www.bigsouth.us.
