Enjoy 10th Anniversary Fun at Centennial Olympic Park Tomorrow

Come on out to Centennial Olympic Park tomorrow, July 15, 2006, to enjoy the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Centennial Olympic Games.

The 1996 Olympics had a lasting impact on the city of Atlanta and confirmed the city's status as an international destination. The 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Centennial Olympic Games is an opportunity to share the legacy with future generations, as well as to give thanks to those who volunteered during the Centennial Olympics Games. Bob Costas, the voice of the Olympic Games for 18 years, returns to Atlanta to emcee the 10th Anniversary Celebration!

Local bands will kick off the entertainment at 7 p.m., followed by a video tribute to the 1996 Olympic Games and special appearances by Olympians Janet Evans and Carl Lewis. Afterwards, multi-platinum, multi-Grammy award-winning star Trisha Yearwood will perform. The Georgia native and MCA recording artist, who performed during the closing ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games, will join thousands in the Park to reunite, reminisce and relive the excitement shared a decade ago. With Yearwood's larger-than-life vocals, Olympic athletes and video highlights this is guaranteed to be a very moving event. The evening culminates with a special fireworks finale at 10 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public, and festivities are planned rain or shine. Come join in the celebration! For more information visit www.centennialpark.com.
