(Atlanta - October 30, 2007) The Georgia World Congress Center introduces BAGS, a remote check-in baggage service, to the convention center. Offering a full-service, multi-airline, remote skycap operation, BAGS allows attendees to check their luggage on the final day of their convention or tradeshow at the GWCC. This will give attendees freedom to move around during the final day of the show and once the show is over they can go directly to the airport where their baggage is already checked and ready to go.
Airlines participating in the BAGs program at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are Delta, American and AirTran. For $10 attendees can check their baggage in the main lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center and they will receive their boarding pass before they leave the center.
“We’re so happy to be able to offer this service to our out of town guests. Carrying luggage can be burdensome and BAGs will make the last day of the show so much easier for attendees,” said Mark Zimmerman, general manager of the Georgia World Congress Center. “This is just another way for us to offer excellent customer service to our visitors.”
True Value Fall Show is the first event to utilize this new service. The majority of True Value’s 13,000 attendees traveled to Atlanta for the four-day show from cities and towns all over the country and took advantage of this convenient service.
"We were delighted to see the BAGs program up and running for our members,” said Susan Katz, director of corporate events for True Value. “This is a great service that is offered at a reasonable price for those that are departing directly from the center to the airport. It makes the trip home so much easier."
BAGs will streamline the travel process for guests making it much more convenient. No more hauling luggage from downtown to the airport. No more standing in line at the airport to check baggage. This new service will make checking baggage quick and easy and travel far more convenient.
