(ATLANTA – January 10, 2007) The Georgia World Congress Center announces Karen Boatright is the new national sales manager. An Atlanta native, Boatright worked for Delta Air Lines for 30 years. With Delta she gained experience working as a meeting planner and in meeting and incentive sales. With experience on both the sales and planning sides of events, Boatright is a strong addition to the GWCC sales team. Boatright graduated from West Georgia College.

“We are very excited to have Karen join our sales and marketing team. Her extensive professional background with Delta is certain to be an asset to our team,” said Pattsie Rand, director of sales and marketing for the GWCC. “The experience she brings with her is invaluable for the Georgia World Congress Center as well as for our customers.”

As national sales manager for the Georgia World Congress Center, Boatright is responsible for the medical market segment.

“I'm so happy to join the GWCC Sales team and to work for this nationally recognized center,” said Boatright. “I look forward to bringing new business to the Georgia World Congress Center and working with our existing clients in the medical market segment.”
