Centennial Olympic Park is an Award-Winning Destination

(ATLANTA - March 1, 2008) Centennial Olympic Park continues to be an award-winning destination. In February, the Park won five Kaleidoscope Awards at the annual Southeast Festivals and Events Conference presented by the Georgia Festivals and Events Association in February.

Out of 125 entries, the Park was awarded:

Gold for BEST WEBSITE: www.centennialpark.com
Gold for BEST PUBLICATION: Wednesday WindDown Photo Book
Gold for BEST EVENT PROGRAM: Wednesday WindDown Program
Silver for BEST PUBLICATION: Fountain Pen
Bronze for BEST EVENT PHOTOGRAPH: Wednesday WindDown

The Kaleidoscope Award recognizes top festivals and events in the southeast for outstanding contributions to their communities as well as the industry. The awards are named after the kaleidoscope because the array of changing colors is representative of the many different types of festivals and events. The Park was competing against other well known, annual events such as Taste of Atlanta and the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival.

“The Park is dedicated to providing the best programming and information to the general public,” says Mark Banta, general manager of Centennial Olympic Park, “and these awards validate our efforts.” Katy Pando, the Park’s public relations and marketing director attributed this year’s success to the outstanding efforts and enthusiasm of the Park staff and creative team. The Park is always looking for new ways to improve messaging and provide a fun, memorable experience for the millions of visitors every year.
