Atlanta welcomes back Supercross - motorcross excitement that calls the best of the best to the pit to prove their worth! Supercross takes action at the Georgia Dome Saturday, Feb. 26.
Come downtown early and make it a full day family affair! Gates open at 12:30 p.m. for practice and qualifying events. Drop by the Georgia World Congress Center (Building B) for the Motorcross Pit Party from 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Here's your chance to meet the riders and see the bikes made famous in the dirt. The motorcross competition begins at 7 p.m. over at the Georgia Dome. Tickets can be purchased for as low as $10 in advance.
THQ World Supercross GP is a 17-round global series that is produced and promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment and Dorna Off Road S.L. Riders compete in the international rounds to be eligible to win the world championship. Advance tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 404.249.6400. Tickets are also available at the Georgia Dome Ticket Office, open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Atlanta also welcomes the 134th Edition Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at Philips Arena. The circus runs from Feb. 17 - 27 and weekend show times include Saturday, Feb. 26 at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Ticket prices vary and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Heavy traffic is expected in and around downtown this weekend due to the number of events ongoing. Attendees are encouraged to take MARTA to arrive safely and quickly to their destination. The Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia Dome can be accessed by the GWCC/DOME/ Philips/CNN station or the Vine City Station. For those who drive in, parking is available in the Red Deck (formerly International Deck) located on Andrew Young International Blvd. next to the GWCC and the Georgia Dome. |
