GWCC Offers New Service Allowing Trade Shows to Broadcast Live Information Online

ATLANTA (June 26, 2002) - The Georgia World Congress Center is taking communications to the next level. The Atlanta convention center has launched a new service that can film, edit and broadcast live streaming video on the World Wide Web, providing show management the latest tools to reach attendees.

By working jointly with Georgia Dome Productions, a subsidiary of Crawford Communications, the Georgia World Congress Center has demonstrated how to produce and air programs that attendees can view from their laptops or hotel rooms for up-to-date information and recaps of the day's events.
"We want our customers to know about our broad spectrum of amenities such as our live streaming video capabilities. This is one more example of how the Georgia World Congress Center strives to be the best in the business," said Pattsie Rand, director of sales and marketing.

This process was put to the test during the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Annual Scientific Session held at the Georgia World Congress Center this spring. Over 28,000 people attended the convention and were able to view 30-minute daily newscasts on www.heart.org, including previously-taped interviews with doctors, as well as a live broadcast from an insert stage at the Georgia Dome, designed specifically to look like a news desk.

"It was the first time we tried it and it worked extremely well. The client was happy with the end product. We look forward to doing more of these for the Georgia World Congress Center so our customers can fully utilize the services that we have to offer," stated Beverly Wilson, operations manager of Georgia Dome Productions.
