Foresters keep 'cutting edge'

The 26th Forest Products & Machinery Equipment Exposition-Expo 2001 opened its doors at the Georgia World Congress Center at 9 a.m., July 19. The Show consisted of 438 exhibitors and covered more than 210,000 square feet of convention space. In addition to the exhibitions, 30 technical and logging seminars took place during the three-day show to keep industry professionals on the "cutting edge."

The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) organizes Expo 2001. Members of the SFPA produce about 55% of the Southern Pine lumber in the United States, enough to build more than a million new homes a year.

When is the next Expo? The biannual event is scheduled to take place at the Congress Center June 26th to June 28th 2003. For more information about the Southern Forest Products Association, visit www.sfpa.org.
