Georgia World Congress Center Salutes Local Atlanta Graduates

ATLANTA - (May 22, 2003) This weekend, the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) and the Georgia Dome host six Atlanta high school commencement ceremonies as hundreds of young adults enter the real world.

Graduation ceremonies begin on Friday, May 23. Druid Hills High School will hold their graduation ceremony from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Sydney Marcus Auditorium, located in Georgia World Congress Center Building A. In addition, Dunwoody High School will hold their commencement from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom, located in the Georgia World Congress Center Building B. Parking is available in the Red Deck (formerly the International Parking Deck) located off Andrew Young International Blvd. next to the GWCC and the Georgia Dome.

On Saturday, May 24, the Georgia Dome will host the Redan High School graduation ceremony from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Gate D will serve as the main entrance for students and faculty at 8 a.m. as well as for the general public at 9 a.m. Parking is available in the Red Deck (formerly the International Parking Deck) located off Andrew Young International Blvd. next to the GWCC and the Georgia Dome. Additional parking is available in the Orange Lot located on Georgia Dome Drive.

The following high school commencement ceremonies will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom, located in GWCC Building B:

· Harrison High School 10 a.m. to noon
· Osborne High School 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
· Pebblebrook High School 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Students can pick up their diplomas after each ceremony in room A411/412, located in GWCC Building A Level 4. Parking is available in the Red Deck (formerly the International Parking Deck) located off Andrew Young International Blvd. next to the GWCC and the Georgia Dome.
