Georgia World Congress Center Authority Announces Four New Board Members

Gov. Sonny Perdue named four Atlanta business people as new members of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority: David B. Allman, Anne Griffith Hennessy, Martin Neil Kogon and James C. Edenfield. The new members met at the Georgia World Congress Center today for their first monthly Authority meeting. The Authority oversees the management of the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park.

David B. Allman is President and owner of Regent Partners, a real estate firm. Previously, he worked with the U.S. Army and the city of Kansas as developer and master developer. Allman is also involved with the Buckhead Community Improvement District, serving as its chairman. Allman holds an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. He and his wife, Donna, have four children.

Anne Griffith Hennessy is founder of Hennessy Investments. Previously, she served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for New Intellivoice. Hennessy holds an undergraduate degree from Trinity College in Washington, D.C. and an MBA from the Darden School, University of Virginia. She and her husband, Peter, have three children.

Martin Neil Kogon is currently manager of Pull-a-Part, an auto parts retailer in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly, Kogon served as regional manager and manager of Recycling Industries and Central Metals respectively. Kogon is an officer and board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and past president and board member of the Epstein School. Kogon received his bachelors in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Kogan and his wife, Judy, have two grown children, Michael and Ross.

James C. Edenfield currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of American Software, a company he co-founded. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Buckhead Coalition, where he formerly served as chairman. Edenfield is an inductee into the Georgia Technology Hall of Fame. He holds an undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He and his wife, Norma, have three children.
The State of Georgia established the Georgia World Congress Center Authority to develop and operate the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome, Centennial Olympic Park, and related facilities. These facilities exist for the primary purpose of promoting and facilitating events and activities that generate economic benefits to the citizens of the State of Georgia and the City of Atlanta as well as enhance the quality of life for every Georgian.
