Bee Downtown

Bee Downtown

Georgia World Congress Center proudly supports urban pollinators through three on-site beehives installed on our campus in partnership with Bee Downtown.

Located in a pocket park near Northside Drive and Boone Boulevard, the hives — installed in August 2018 — are home to more than 60,000 honey bees and collectively produce up to 240 pounds of honey annually, which is used by our food service partners and shared across campus.

Beyond the honey, these bees play an essential role in pollinating plants, gardens, and green spaces throughout the surrounding community, helping strengthen the local urban ecosystem.

By supporting our bees, we’re nurturing a healthier environment and reinforcing our commitment to thoughtful, sustainable care for our campus and the city we call home.
